Wang Sun Gao bronzebells

Unearthed at Xichuan,Henan

The set of Yong-bells marked WangSun Gao is composed of 26 bells. Of the musical bells of the Springand Autumn Period unearthed in China, this set is the largest innumber and the biggest in scale. It covers a large range of musicaltones. The sounds produced by them are pure and harmonious, withaccurate sound frequencies. All this indicates that Chinese musicalculture had reached a very high level in the Chu State.
