Silk Road is the road of economy and trade to link the Eurasia and the most significant channel for civilization exchanges between the East and West. Han and Tang Dynasties witnessed the flourishing scenes in the Silk Road, in which Sogdiana people were active in business activities. And they flocked into China through the Silk Road, gradually their descendants became assimilated into the Han minority.


So, how they lived their lives in China? What kinds of Silk Road remains left in Shanxi Province? Why Sogdiana people were called as "Nine branches of Zhaowu(Chinese ancient surname)" ? What are the "Nine surname branches"? And what's the contribution of the Sogdiana people? You're welcomed to join this lecture to find the answers.
