This jade is semi-transparent; it has a tealike colouration, and a fine, smooth texture, The main portion of this pendant is formed by a circular jade Bi disc, decorated with grain patterns. There are a pair of birds facing each other, perched on the sides of the Bi, with their crests, beaks and tail feathers all clearly cut. The lower section of the jade Bi is supported on the intertwined tails of a pair of crouching beasts. There is a circular hole in the section which features the pair of beasts.

This jade ornament exhibits an innovative design and exceptional carving. The overall form of the object resembles the tiger stand drums excavated from Chu tombs, highlighting its clear affiliation with the styles of the Chu region.
