On March 5，“The Rivers Resonating, Glories in the Areas of the Yellow River and Jiangnan (the Yangtze River and Hui River Valleys)- Archaeological Findings from the Bronze Age in Central Plains and Jiangnan Area” Exhibition Opened at Wuxi Museum, 90 pieces(sets) highlights of collection from Henan Museum unveiled to the public as the first show of 2023 in Wuxi city.

The exhibition, scheduled Mar. 05-June 04, is comprised of three parts: Rites Forged in Central Plains, Peace on the Chariots, and Jade Carvings & Pottery Vessels, featuring 110 monumental pieces (sets) artifacts which were archaeologically found in the Central Plains and the valleys of Yangtze River and Huai River dating from the Bronze Age of China, covering Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties. The vast majority of the exhibits comes from Henan Museum, as many as 90 pieces (sets), of which 14 pieces (sets) were shown in the exhibition “The Making of China” in Shanghai, and 6 pieces(sets) were listed as the National One Grade, 47 pieces (sets) were listed as the National Two Grade. Through a variety of tremendous cultural relics, such as the Wang Zi Wu tripod caldron and the sword of Prince Liao of the Wu state dating from the Spring and Autumn period (770-476 B.C.) , the exhibition aims to displaying the historical veins and splendid achievements of the integration and development of the Yellow River civilization and the Yangtze River civilization.

Wang ziwu Ding

In the gallery of the museum, the highlights, such as Wang ziwu Ding and Sword of Wang Liao ,the inscriptions, and relevant historical texts exemplified the cultural traits of Chinese civilization which is characterized by continuation without interruption and inclusiveness, showing the evolvement from “numerous regimes in the lands” to “one united nation”; the innovative and amazing exhibiting methods, such as interaction, digitized arts, and installation artistic demonstration, reawaken and revive the exhibits, further boosting the viewing experience.
