Mural painting of Four Supernatural Beings Surrounded by Clouds was created in the early Western Han dynasty(202-141 BC ) and excavated at the Shiyuan(persimmon orchard) Han tomb, Mt. Mangdang, Yongcheng, Shangqiu, Henan Province, 1987. The length of the mural is 5.14 meters, the width is 3.27 meters, and the area is 16.8 square meters.Through scientific and technological means, archaeological experts cut the mural according to the original appearance and moved to Henan Museum, then the mural became one of the "Collection Highlights"in Henan Museum.

In the middle of the mural, there is a 7-meter-long dragon flying, Scarlet Bird,White Tiger and Somber Warrior, surrounded by ganoderma lucidum and cloud patterns. From the west end of the top of the main tomb, the mural extends to the east for over Zhang(unit of length), with a total area of 30 square meters, filling the gap of murals in the Western Han dynasty, more than 600 years earlier than Dunhuang murals(4th-14th century A.D). Known as "Dunhuang before Dunhuang", the mural painting of Four Supernatural Beings Surrounded by Clouds is not only an earlier, large-scale, highest-ranking and well-preserved mural in China, but also a magnificent epic carrying the thought of Chinese immortals in the early Western Han dynasty.

To directly express people’s common impression of the heavenly palace scene, we select the deep, boundless and imaginative starry sky as the background. We mainly design this sunny and rainy umbrella from the following aspects: firstly, it shows the majestic spirit of the Four Supernatural Beings; secondly, it contains the meaning of propitious clouds and auspicious things gathering at the top; thirdly, we depict different colors according to the characteristics of Four Supernatural Beings and highlight the scene of vitality, flexibility and playfulness; fourthly, cloud, lotus, ganoderma lucidum and other elements are adopted as the medium for the Four Supernatural Beings ascend to immortality, and we have described these elements in a more vivid and detailed way to create an atmosphere of eclosion and immortality; finally, we use the regular octagon figure and auspicious frame to enrich the shape of this sunny and rainy umbrella.
