This series of folding fans select the five painting fans of plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum and pine from the drawings of painters in the Qing dynasty (1636 AD-1911 AD) as the "Five Gentlemen folding fans", and they integrate the "Four Gentlemen" and "three cold-weather friends" into the "Five Gentlemen" of plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum and pine. We use art works to express aspirations and place the traditional and good character on the bamboo folding fans.

The designer said:

In Chinese traditional culture, the "Four Gentlemen" of plum blossom, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum and the "three cold-weather friends" of pine, bamboo and plum blossom have always been used to symbolize the noble and resolute character of a gentleman. This series of pattern folding fans are respectively extracted from the painting fans of Wang Sanxi, Jiang Yujian and the ink plum blossom fan of Jiang Tian. May you also have the integrity of Five Gentlemen.
