Chinese philosophical thoughts are profound and magnificent, and its essential idea is to offer guidance on what humans say and do, and eventually reach the harmony between nature and human beings. This ideology of pursuing the balance and unity of nature and human beings, and spirit and matter has infiltrated into every aspect of Chinese culture, including Chinese ancient architectures.

"Architecture is a solidified art", which exists both in space and time. As a being of ideology, the art of Chinese ancient architecture reflects our ancient philosophical ideas, and their artistic images are concentrated embodiments of political institutions, social activities, moral ideas, mental attitudes, customs and rituals, as well as economic foundations.
