China is regarded as the hometown of dragon, and Chinese people are called as “descendants of the dragon”. Chinese nation has a long history of dragon totem adoration, and as early as over 7000 years ago, our ancestors in Neolithic period has begun to worship dragon totem on the basis of actual creatures and natural phenomena. Through the evolvement of thousands of years, today Chinese people still use idioms and literary quotations with the word “dragon” to covey their longing for life to be better, and “dragon culture” has run through all fields including politics, literature, art and so on, which has been a significant part of Chinese civilization.
