Zeng state, enfeoffed in the south by the King of westernZhou dynasty(1046-256BC), existed for over 700 years. However, it was barely seen in historical records. As the excavation of the Tomb of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State in Hubei Suixian County in 1978, this ancient state which once “disappeared” has been widely known. Archaeological findings show that at least 13 rulers of Zeng state have been found since the first excavation on the Tomb of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State, therefore, Zeng state was called an “ unearthed state”.

Why Zeng state was barely seen in the historical documents? And what kind of a state was it? Join the lecture on April 1, and we shall explore the secrets of this state together!
