"The Book of Songs", which was called as "Poetry" or "Three hundred poems" during pre-Qin period, is the first poetry collection in China. "The Book of Songs" is a encyclopaedia which mirrors the life of the ancients,and its absolutely fabulous expressions not only are of high value of literature and art, but also reflect the unique culture and custom in pre-Qin era. As a part of The Book of SongsFolksongs of Ancient Principalities includes the folksongs of 15 principalities including State Bei, State Wei, State Wang, State Zheng, etc., and it widely reflects the husbandry life, marriage customs, religion activities, ethical ideas, folk customs and regional cultures of this period.
