Sprig and Autumn Period （770-476B.C.）
Unearthed at Xichuan, Henan
The set of Yong-bells marked Wang Sun Gao is composed of 26 bells. Of the musical bells of the Spring and Autumn Period unearthed in China, this set is the largest in number and the biggest in scale. It covers a large range of musical tones. The sounds produced by them are pure and harmonious, with accurate sound frequencies. All this indicates that Chinese musical culture had reached a very high level in the Chu State.
