As one of the four great ancient civilizations, China has a long history of civilization, which has brought into focus and been highly recommended as it is never interrupted during its development for thousands of years.
Around 5500 to 4500 years ago, whether Hongshan culture in the north part or Yanghsao culture in the Central Plain areas, they all stepped into the stage of “ancient state”, which was put forward by a well-known archaeologist Mr. Su Bingqi, and presented “the dawn of human civilization” what he described. However, these two cultures take different paths and show different characteristics. “Ancient state” in Hongshan culture  evolved into a system of government in which priests ruled in the name of divinity, while royal power which combined military power ruled all in the “ancient state” of  Yangshao culture.

Why these two cultures present different patterns in the development of human civilization? And what roles have they played in the origin and development of Chinese civilization? You are warmly welcomed to join professor Lv's lecture on April 15 and enjoy the vast sea of human culture!
