Painted pottery is regarded as an important archaeological find in Neolithic age. Approximately 5000 years ago, Miaodigou culture, developed from Weihe River valley, raised a cultural tide with a magnificent scale in prehistoric times of China by its unique characteristic of painted potteries with flower petals designs.
