Sui Dynasty

The tomb of General Zhang Sheng and his wife was excavated in 1959. 192 objects were unearthed, including human and animal figurines and models of daily utensils, which illustrate the daily life during Sui dynasty.

This pot with dragon-shaped handle and elephant-shaped spout is of a unique design. The pot is entirely coated with white glaze. Eight loop ears are installed in symmetry on the shoulder part. The pot looks like an harmonious performance of a dragon and an elephant.
