Bronze Yu Vessel with Whorl Design on the Central Pillar

Provenance:  unearthed from a bronze hoard at Xiangyang Hui Foodstuffs Factory outside the southeast corner of the Shang capital ruin in Zhengzhou in 1982.

Measurements:
12 cm in overall height,
29.5 cm in mouth diameter,
16 cm in foot rim diameter,
0.4 cm in wall thickness.
center pillar:  8 cm in height
top of the pillar:  8.2 cm in diameter,
4.25 kg in weight.
