On Dec. 10, 2008, the Cultural Department of China held a press and released that the 10th Asia Arts Festival will be hold in Zhengzhou on Dec. 26, 2008. Several top leaders coming from the Center of China, Henan province and some media from many cities of China attended the press.

The 10th Asia Arts Festival will be hold in Zhengzhou Henan province of China from Sept.26, 2008 to Oct.8, 2008. It will be together hold by the Cultural Department of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Henan province and the Cultural Department of Henan province and so on.
During the festival, there will be more than 30 countries and regions taking their incredible performances to China. And about 30 embassies will attend the 10th Asia Arts Festival welcoming banquet holding by the Organizing Committee of the 10th Asia Arts Festival.

They are Korea,Japan,Singapore,Vietnam,Bengal,Laos,Cambodia,Iran,Iraq,Koweit,Nepal,Pakistan,Palestine,Syria,Mongolia,Sudan,Oman,Jamaica and many other countries.

Another six Cultural Ministers from Asian countries will attend a series of activites, the reception, welcoming banquet and the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Asia Arts Festival. These countries are India, Burma, Japan, Cambodia, Turkey, Kirghizia and so on.

The Cultural Department of Henan province, the People's Government of Zhengzhou, the People's Government of Kaifeng and the Foreign Cultural Group Company will combine to hold the 10th Asia Arts Festival. During the period of the festival, the host will hold several kinds of actives and performances.
  It contains the opening ceremony, special performance, Asia movie show, the mass's cultural activity, unique art exhibition, trade and economic negotiation active and closing ceremony etc.

The theme of the opening ceremony is named as "Harmonious Asia". The festival will be separated into two parts, the ceremony and the performance. Each country from Asia will show their amazing floats and join in the grand parade. Hundreds and thousands people from Asia even the world will sing and dance along the main streets in Zhengzhou China. Just at that appointed time, the sound, light, electricity and some other modern transmit means, new musical form and some other high-tech measures will be together show to the public in the festival. Thus, there must be a quite outstanding and unique art effect showing to Asia and the world.

Some special performances will be show during the festival. They will include the pantomime, opera, drama, children play, musical, local drama and some other dramas. There are some famous troupes will bring their wonderful programs too. Such as: the Asia Music Troupe, the Bao lai Wu Song and Dance
Group of India and so on. And some other musical groups from Korea, Japan, and Singapore otherwise. They will take their national prime and soul plays to Chinese. All of the lists of plays have already had an extensive and enormous influence not only in Asia but also in the world. Just those plays will usher us to an art palace

The general purpose of this mass cultural active is that “Handle a people’s Gala and Handle a Gala for the People”. Just for this idea, the experts design all the actives basing on the common people. So this unique festival will be quite easy to join, understand and view. And the designs will include the floats, cultural square, theme park and some community culture actives and so and on.

On Dec. 27 morning there will be 22 floats patrolling in the main streets in Zhengzhou, the center city of China. Some floats are designed like the solid figures. And many artists from both Asia’s countries and even the world will perform on the floats. They will take many quite different styles performances of their own countries. At the same time, the team of China also will take many Chinese oriental civilizations.

Oh the other hand, there will be 5 series exhibitions including 13 special ones. Maybe about 40 foreign embassies in China will take over 300 pieces extrusive cultural arts, paintings, sculptures, handicrafts and some other exquisite treasure arts. Also some countries will take some other special exhibits.  Such as the special exhibition “Sihai Yijia” from the embassy in China, the video art special exhibition of Asia and the wash of Zhengzhou China and so on. All exhibitions are chosen will represent the excellent and the splendid achievements of their own country in the current days.

Zhengzhou, being the main side hosting the 10th Asia Arts Festival, its GDP is developing continually, fleetly and healthily these years. The various common establishments are all ready. There is a very steady social order, a favorable traffic and developing communication.

On the cultural field, one side the government insists on grasping the mass culture active and on the other side grasping the cultural extractive project. Now they have made several TV play series which have strong competitive cultural brands. Among them, the good-sized science fiction children TV play series “Happy Celestial Body”, the original pantomime “Shao Lin in the Wind” and some other good plays have performed many times both at home and abroad. And each time the plays got a quite great admiring by the audience. They have made a highest audience rating in CCTV at the same time of viewing.
The original scenery performance “Shao lin Musical Great Ceremony” will show the audience a real scene. Its grand scene, glaring lighting and nice tune together deduct Shaolin martial arts. The whole true and majestic scene will shock and touch each audience.

Therefore, Zhengzhou can offer the Asia and even the world a great manpower, material resources, finance and various active requirements and so on. Zhengzhou can hold the 10th Asia Arts Festival successfully. And Zhengzhou can be known better and better in the future in the world.
