The“Sixth Oratorical Contest of Tour Guide Henan Province” opens on May 15, 2012.

The contest is hosted by Henan Bureau of Cultural Relics and undertaken by Henan Museum Institute. Some leaders of the culture and museum units attended the opening ceremony.

It is said that more than 140 interpreters coming from 18 administrative units of cities and regions are attracted this year. Among them, there are 100 Chinese competitors, 35 English competitors and 11 volunteers. The competitors come from some museums, memorials and other famous tour scenic spots etc.

Since 1992, the oratorical contest has been held every four years. The contest has been on now for sixth.

Through this activity, we have fostered a lot of excellent commentators. Thus the museums service has also been greatly improved. At the same time, Chinese civilization and the history of the center of China have been inherited.
