To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of Huaxia Ancient Music Orchestra, a special Guqin concert entitled The Bright Moon in China---Special Guqin Concert at Mid-Autumn Festival was held in the concert hall of HenanMuseum on Sept.23. 2010. Above mentioned experts delivered excellent performance.

On which the Orchestra saw its debut album Huaxia Ancient Music DVD, CD with large audience.

The concert drew large audience to Henan Museum, including many Guqin fans of all circles, of which many came from the surrounding cities, the whole concert was heavily occupied that evening.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Huaxia Ancient Music Orchestra, Henan Museum will arrange two more concerts of different style before Oct.6, 2010, repaying the audience for their support in the past decade.

Formed in 2000, Huaxia Ancient Music Orchestra of Henan Museum has been the only professional band performing ancient Chinese music in China up to now. After its forming, the Orchestra focused on restoring a whole set of Chinese ancient musical instruments according to the unearthed cultural relics, such as bronze chime-bells, stone and jade chimes, ancient flute, Xun, Guqin and so on; successively, based on the unearthed cultural heritage, the Orchestra recovered a number of ancient music tunes after rigorous argumentation and strict rehearsal. Last year the Orchestra was invited to Hong Kong for performing, and went to Shanghai Expo in this Aug. to play in Henan pavilion and caused a stir for excellent performance during their stay.
