Located in the southeast corner of Beijing's Third Ring Road, the curiosities to be found at the second-hand market Pan Jiayuan attract people from all over the world. ¡¡¡¡
It is one of the biggest second-hand markets in China.

Cultural relics, paintings and calligraphy, the traditional four treasures of study (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab, paper), porcelain and furniture are all sold here. Approximately 10,000 people from 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities manage more than 3000 stalls. ¡¡¡¡

A number of well-known people have visited the market, including former American First Lady Hilary Clinton, Princess Shilintong of Thailand, and the prime ministers of Romania and Greece. ¡¡

It is thought that 80 percent of the goods sold in the antique street in Seoul, Korea, have come from Pan Jiayuan. The director of the antique city in Osaka, Japan, visits the market once a month and transports back over ten truckloads of goods every time.
