At the invitation of Society of Henan Museum, the delegation from the countries of the Euro Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) came to Henan Museum on the morning of 3^rd. Nov. for visiting and cultural exchange, before going to Shanghai for the 2010 General Conference of ICOM.

  

When they was in the newly renovated exhibition hall, they saw the comparative chronological exhibition between China and Europe on the same historic date, by this way, they immediately understood the historic period of the Chinese historical invents happened, and the relevant historic figures and activities of the same period in their own history which they are familiar with. Some of them are quite interested in this unique exhibition method, and took pictures of it for reference in the future.

  

In the first floor of the exhibition hall, the delegations viewed the glass ground of the “archaeological excavation site”, the  audio and video materials about it, the new exhibition method helps the guests acquire an in-depth understanding about the Chinese history and culture.

  

At last, the delegation went to the concert hall for watching Huaxia Ancient Music performance. After the performance, they have a talk with the staff of the museum. Having a great interest in the performance, they asked many questions about it, such as how the ancient music works were revived, what kind of stone the chime bells were made of, how the costumes were designed, and so on. They even asked about the possibility for the orchestra going abroad for performance.
