The Ceramics Exhibition from Lushan opens in Henan Museum on Feb.6, 2018. This exhibition was joint sponsored by Henan Museum,  Henan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Pingdingshan Museum and Duandianyao Culture Research Institute of Lushan County. 

Wan Jie, the secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Museum hosted the opening ceremony. Ma Xiaolin, the director of Henan Museum,Wang Pu, vice mayor of Pingdingshan City and some other relevant leaders attended the opening ceremony.

Ma Xiaolin addressed at the opening ceremony. He said that just at the Spring Festival coming, we showed a cultural feast to the public with some nice and great potteries and porcelains from Pingdingshan City. Each people can enjoy the great cultural relics and feel how broad and profound the ceramics culture was in ancient China.

Wang Pu, vice mayor of Pingdingshan said that this exhibition fully demonstrated the superb developing level of the ancient ceramics industry in Pingdingshan city. It carried forward the excellent history and culture.

The kiln site was located in Lushan County, Pingdingshan City of Henan Province. First time the kiln  was fired  early in Tang Dynasty. It has been fired for hundreds of years here. 

This time we exhibited more than 250 pieces representative porcelains . The cultural relics on display covered about four periods: Tang, Song, Jin and Yuan. The best ones we showed were distinctive glazed porcelain waist drum, pearl glaze bottle and some others. Most of the wonderful cultural relics were appeared for the first time. It displayed the characteristics and level of the manufacturing process of Duan Dian kiln in the round. 

This exhibition will be still opened during the Spring Festival. And it will last to Apr. 4, 2018.
