From Nov.29, 2024 to Feb.24, 2025, the exhibition “Charms of Calligraphy and Painting--Highlights of Housed Works of Calligraphy and Painting in Henan Museum” which is hosted by Henan Museum and Zhengzhou Museum, is going on in the Calligraphy & Painting Gallery at the fourth floor of the branch  (Zhengzhou Museum) of Henan Museum.

The art of Chinese calligraphy and painting, taking roots in the fertile cultural soil of China, not only inherits the history, but also disseminates the sound of the times. The exhibition comprises of 57 pieces (sets) of meticulously selected works of calligraphy and painting housed in Henan Museum, demonstrates the artists’ meditation on the traditional calligraphy and painting of China and their unswerving explorations for reform in Ming and Qing times. Hopefully, the exhibition could make the audience perceive the cultural traits of “Honoring the ancient masters and commitment to innovations” in calligraphy and painting during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
