From Dec.28,2024 to Mar.31, 2025, the exhibition “Splendid Threads, Auspicious Motifs: Henan Museum Exhibition of Woven and Embroidered Patterns”, which is hosted by Henan Museum and Zhengzhou Museum, is going on at the branch (Zhengzhou Museum) of Henan Museum.

Thanks to the abundant woven and embroidered collections of Henan Museum, the exhibition which comprises of 166 pieces (sets), is categorized into four parts based on the implications of the patterns, namely, Fu Brings Family Harmony, Shou Flourishes in Peace; Achieving Career Success and Living in Plenty; Happy Union and Everlasting Lineage; The Beauty of Clothing with Ornaments, the Grandeur of Etiquette. The exhibition is characterized by the meticulous selection and highlights of traditional motifs on the collections, and presented by means of their symbolic meanings, aiming to providing insights into traditional Chinese ideals, spiritual ballast, and aesthetic interest from the perspective of the unique Chinese embellishments.
