State Zeng, located at Sui County (present-day Suizhou) in Hubei, is a feudal state in Zhou dynasty, which existed for around 700 years.

State Zeng created a splendid bronze culture in its 700-year history, however, its name only was found in the inscriptions of bronze artifacts instead of the historical documents. State Zeng has disappeared for many years, while its excavation in 1978 draw the public's eye to its profound and mysterious culture. More than 15,000 artifacts were unearthed, including ritual vessels, musical instruments, lacquered articles, gold wares, jade wares, weapons, chariot parts, harnesses and bamboo slips. And each of them embodies the spiritual and material life 2,400 years ago.

Why there are no signs of State Zeng in the historical records? And where did it originate from and why it disappeared? Join this lecture and explore the mystery of State Zeng with Mr. Huang Fengchun, who took part in the excavation of tombs of State Zeng for several times.
