Happiness is the ideal of life which pursued by human beings for thousands of years, while the view of happiness refers to people's understanding and judgement on happiness. And this kind of understanding and judgement is always influenced by their ideology, culture background and the spirits of the times, at the same time they are also restricted by the development of society, economy and politics.

According to archaeological findings, Han people's view of happiness includes several aspects: good health and a long life, grand-generativity, peace and happiness, abundant drinks and foods, constant richness and fortune of the family. Plenty of inscriptions were found in the bronze mirrow, eaves tiles and bronzes, and all these words as well as the shape and pattern design of these articles which expresses Han people's views of happiness directly reflected their yearn for good life and a general ideology in Han dynasty.
