Henan Museum and Xinyang Museum held a signing ceremony on the "Preservation and Restoration Project of Calligraphy and Painting Collections" in the Cultural Relics’ Conservation and Restoration Center of Henan Museum on October 19, 2020. 

Wan Jie, secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Museum, Zhang Kaibao, Kong Lingkun, deputy directors of Xinyang Museum, and some other officials attended the signing ceremony. 

First of all, Wan Jie, on behalf of Henan Museum, gave a great gratitude to Xinyang Museum for the trust and support. He said that Henan Museum paid a great importance on the protection and restoration of cultural relics. Henan Museum has got many outstanding advantages on the cultural relic restoration, especially on the research, protection and restoration of paper and metal cultural relics. And we have become to the influential brand and the key research base on these fields. Henan Museum has been named the main training bases by Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage.

Mr. Wan also said that the two sides should further strengthen the cooperation. And we can promote the protection of cultural relics, science and technology and various businesses to a new level in the near future.

Both sides held discussions about the "Preservation and Restoration Project of Calligraphy and Painting Collections". At last they held a handover ceremony on the "Preservation and Restoration Project of Calligraphy and Painting Collections".

It was learned that the cooperation work on the restoration project early started in 2018. And this year, the agreement on the cultural relics' restoration totally involved about 26 sets, 101 pieces of precious painting and calligraphy.
