On December 7 and 8, the final round of “Stories from revolutionary times shining on the Central plains”, jointly organized by Publicity Department of Henan Provincial Community Party of China, Henan Department of Veterans Affairs, Cultural and Tourism Department of Henan and Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage , was held in Yongcheng, Shangqiu city, Henan province. This competition is with high specification, large-scale and subject-prominent. And it first started in August, finally there are 44 museum tour guides as the professional group and 26 revolutionary works passed through four rounds of selection and ran into the finals.

Focusing on the topic of “Promote revolutionary tradition, persist in the spirits and blood of communists”, two competitors from Henan Museum had the honour to win first prizes of the professional group with their stories of “Brave and resourceful Zhang Xingjiang”and “An eternal monument-Wu Zutai”. Moreover, Henan Museum was also awarded with Outstanding Organization Award, which gave a full play of Henan museum as a demonstration base of patriotism education.

Stories from revolutionary times are the fresh and alive carrier of culture. Striving to tell good revolutionary stories could motivate the patriotism of the public and achieve cohesiveness with the revolutionary spirit. And striving to tell good revolutionary stories will certainly be the historical missions for tour guides of Henan Museum.
