"Splendid Central Plains -- Henan Red Culture Exhibition" opens in Henan Museum .

In order to welcome the centenary birthday of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and carry out the study and education of CPC history, the "Splendid Central Plains -- Henan Red Culture Exhibition" was opened in Henan Museum on April 17 2021. It was sponsored by Propaganda Department of Party Committee Henan Province, Culture and Tourism Department of Henan Province, Henan Provincal Administration of Cultural Heritage, and organized by Henan Museum. 

Ma Xiaolin said in his speech on behalf of Henan Museum that the "Splendid Central Plains -- Henan Red Culture Exhibition" there was another permanent exhibition launched by Henan Museum after the reopening to the public. Since then, Henan Museum has finished building the basic exhibition system that the combines general history exhibitions with thematic exhibitions, with historical times as the main axis. The exhibition was divided into three parts according to the time line: "Breaking the Old World", "Building a New Home" and "Entering a New Era". 

 
The exhibition covered an area about 1,000 square meters. We fully displayed magnificent scroll of Henan history in modern times, especially in the revolutionary bases of Henan, the founding of the some other historical events and figures. We just showed to the public 260 sets of cultural relics (including 38 sets of first-level artifacts, 28 sets of second-level artifacts and 80 sets of third-level artifacts), more than 100 pieces of literature, and more than 600 historical photos through the video multimedia, electronic sand table and a variety of forms. The exhibition focused on the reconstruction of scene, the exhibition also focused on interpreting the essence of the spirit of Dabie Mountain, the spirit of the red flag canal and the spirit of Jiao Yulu, highlighting the great course of saving Henan from subjugation, striving for survival and building Henan under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the brilliant achievements made in reform and opening up. 

At the same time, in order to cooperate with this exhibition, Henan Museum launched the activity of "Learning the Party History, Help the Central Plains to Excellence -- Red Culture Knowledge Competition of Henan with Prizes".
