The 2010 World Expo, the first comprehensive international fair to be held in a developing country, will showcase a variety of cultures, advanced technologies and the best practices in urban development. Covering an area of 5.28 square kilometers, the Expo garden will have five zones where a host of countries, selected cities, and national and international organizations will present their pavilions for the Expo's theme of Better City, Better Life. China Daily takes a virtual tour of the Expo garden to give readers an overview of the zones.

China Pavilion

Designed with the concept of Oriental Crown in mind, China Pavilion features traditional Chinese wooden structures as its core architectural element. Reflecting the age-old Chinese culture, the main color of China Pavilion will be the traditional Gugong (Forbidden City) Red. China Pavilion will be a 63-meter national pavilion, surrounded by those focusing on its regions.
