The annual International Symposium on Chinese and South Korean Music and Cultural Relics held in the Henan Museum on May 26, 2019. Ms. Kim Hsien, director of the Research Institute of the National Academy of Music of Korea and her party were invited in Zhengzhou.

Both sides had a discussion in the afternoon that day. Ms. Kim Hsien, the Director of the Reserch Division National Gugak Center of Korea, Wan Jie, secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Museum, Ma Xiaolin, president of Henan Museum, and Zhang Deshui, vice president and some other experts took the conversazione too. At the symposium, the two sides introduced their histories and the works in the traditional music culture display, research, communication and so on.

They also invited some other experts and scholars from the traditional music and music archaeology of China and South Korea to the seminar.

The experts of two sides had a discussion around the study of Chinese and Korean music cultural relics, the study of East Asian music archaeology and new discoveries, the study of the exchange of music culture between China and South Korea, the restoration of ancient music and the study of contemporary inheritance. 

Mr. Ma Xiaolin said that Henan locates in the Central Plains and has a long history and culture. Henan Museum is rich in cultural relics, and has a series of exhibitions on musical relics are loved by the audience. The two sides will have a nice future. And we can carry out in-depth cooperation in the exhibition of cultural relics and take the people both of China and South Korea to watch the history of cultural exchanges between the two countries.

After the forum, Wan Jie, party secretary of Henan Museum, and Ms. Kim Hsien of the National Academy of Music of South Korea gave each other gifts to express the friendship between China and South Korea.

This activity will last for nearly a week .
