Prof.Mao Wei's Painting Exhibition

The opening ceremony of the "Hometown – Mr.Mao Wei’s Chinese Painting Touring Exhibition" was held at the square of Henan Museum on Tuesday. The exhibition, co-sponsored by Henan Museum and China Federation of Literacy and Art Circles (CFLAC) will keep open till the end of this month.

The painter, Professor Mao Wei, with his home town in Henan province, made his touring exhibition mainly in the cities of Henan province.

Mr. Mao is a professor of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA), and is well known for yak paintings in the art circle in China. The yaks in his works have the feature of muscularity, symbolizing the Chinese traditional spirit. This Chinese painting exhibition consists of almost 200 pieces of his works from his different stages with varying themes. And Mr. Mao donated his masterpiece to Henan Museum for collection.

During the previous two stops, Henan University, Xuchang College, the exhibition was highly appreciated by the visitors. And this stop in Henan Museum was the last and the largest in Henan province.
