The 7th "Vanke Cup" Henan Provincial Museum Cultural Design Competition Award Ceremony was held in Henan Museum on Nov.3, 2020. It was directed by Cultural and Tourism Department of Henan Province and Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage. And it was sponsored by Henan Museum.

Wan Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Museum, Ma Xiaoling, director, Zhang Deshui, deputy director of Henan Museum attended the award ceremony. Some other leaders from various cultural and educational institutions, and representatives of cultural and creative competition contestants over about 100 people gathered in Henan Museum. 

Wan Jie first made a speech on behalf of Henan Museum at the meeting. He said that it was a high-level provisional cultural products competition with the provincial largest scale, the most extensive coverage, the greatest influence and the largest number of submitted works. The Central Plains is the cradle of Chinese civilization, which provides unique cultural resources for the development of museums and creative industries. Mr. Wan hoped that the cultural and creative workers should excavate, make good use and inherit the advantages of the cultural heritage resources in the Central Plains. We need to use our creativity and imagination to create museum cultural and creative brands and products with the national influence. He also hoped that at the same time, the museums should cooperate with each other, explore and innovate, and jointly promote the development of cultural and creative industry of Henan provincial museums.

After half a year's screening, totally we received about 2,577 pieces of cultural and creative works. And then the organizing committee finally selected 3 gold awards, 6 silver awards, 9 bronze awards and 45 excellence awards. And the winners were presented with prizes on the scene of the ceremony.

At present, the excellent works were exhibited in the public culture demonstration area on the west side of the main exhibition hall of Henan Museum. The organizing committee of the competition and Henan Museum planed to carry out a tour exhibition nationwide on the excellent works next step.

Ma Xiaolin, director of Henan Museum and the top leader of the Museum Institute of Henan, made a speech at the meeting. He said that since the museum institute was established in 1984, Henan Museum Institute successively has set up some professional committees on exhibition, preservation and so on.

As a public service unit, the establishment of a seventh professional committee, the Cultural and Creative Committee, could not have come at a better time. That afternoon, the cultural and Creative Committee of Henan Museum Institute held the first seminar. Zhao Hui, director of the Cultural Industry Department from Shaanxi History Museum, shared about the “Innovative Practice of IP Authorization of Shaanxi History Museum.” He expounded the crossover cooperation, marketing and sales and some other aspects.

It was reported that the first batch member covered 22 units from Henan Museum Institute Cultural and Creative Professional Committee.

That will be a new milestone of the cultural and creative industry development of Henan Museum in the history. It means that we wil usher in peak a grand alliance of provincial museums and a new chapter of the cultural and creative industry development in Henan province in the near future.
