On the norning of Wednessday (Jan. 12,201), Mr. Guo Taiyun, the heritor of the wellknown intangible cultural heritage---Zhuxainzhen Wooden Block New Year Printng, donated his masterpieces to Henan Museum and Henan Fine Art Gallary, the ceremony was held in the exhibition hall.

On the ceremony, Mr.Zhang Wenjun, Director of Henan Museum, and Mr.Hua Jianguo, Director of Henan Fine Art Gallary accepted the donation of the 50 mastrepieces on behalf on each museum, and issued certificates to Mr. Guo Taiyun, the donator. Mr. Guo make the donation on behalf of Kaifeng Museum on himself. Mr. Zhang Wenjun praised the donation: “Wooden Block New Year Printing is the Chinese prestigious folk art, and has been listed as intangible cultural haritage. Mr. Guo is the sole registered heritor of Zhuxianzhen Wooden Block New Year Printing in Henan province, and ‘folk handicraftman’ amed by UNECSO, his works are the representative in the Zhuxianzhen Wooden Block New Year Printings, this donation will enrich the collection of Henan Museum, and further intensify the protection of this precious folk art in Henan Museum as well as in the whole society.

Mr. Guo Taiyun told the reporters that he is very glad to have his works collected in Henan Museum, and this kind of ancient folk art can get help to be passed down, and he would do his best to pass it on and get it developed in his life.

The donation attracted may media of the province, several local media came to Henan Museum to cover the event.
