On February 25, 2025, during the closing ceremony of the China-Cambodia People-to-People Exchange Year, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea and his delegation made a special visit to Henan Museum. They were accompanied by Liang Jieyi, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province, Li Bing, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Henan Province, and Li Yanqing, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Wang Jiuwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Henan Museum, along with the staff, warmly received the honored guests.

During the visit to the permanent exhibition "A great civilization rises with capitals established in the Central Plain," Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea showed great interest in Henan museum's rich collection of cultural relics. He attentively listened to the museum tour guide about the development of Chinese civilization and the history and culture of the Central Plain. His excellency highly praised the depth and brilliance of Central Plain’s culture, frequently stopping to engage in conversations and enquire about the history and stories behind the cultural relics.

Following the tour, Henan museum presented Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea with books on Henan's history and culture, which he gladly accepted and warmly expressed that he would carefully study them upon his return, strengthen his Chinese language skills, and deepen his understanding of Chinese culture to promote the cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Cambodia to new heights.
