On the morning of May 18, exciting news came from China’s main meeting venue for the International Museum Day celebrations: the list of winners for the 22nd (2024) National Top Ten Museum Exhibitions was announced on-site. Henan Museum’s exhibition "Center of Heaven and Earth:the Civilization of Xia, Shang, and Zhou Dynasties in Henan" won the International and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Cooperation Award (Outbound Exhibition). Additionally, the branch of Henan Museum－Zhengzhou Museum － was awarded the "Most Innovative Museum in China" for the year 2024.

The exhibition "Center of Heaven and Earth: the Civilization of Xia, Shang, and Zhou Dynasties in Henan" was co-hosted by the Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and jointly organized by Henan Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of History. It was displayed at the Hong Kong Museum of History from April to July 2024. The exhibition featured 172 pieces (sets) of cultural relics from 15 cultural institutions in Henan Province, presenting the magnificent historical scenes and grand cultural essence of the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties taking cultural relics as points, time as the connections, and royal capitals as the holistic frameworks.

Moving forward, the Henan Museum will continue to use culture as a "boat" to carry the light of civilization, forging ahead on the path of cultural inheritance and integration, and making more positive contributions to the promotion of outstanding traditional Chinese culture.
