From the reign of Xianggong to Emperor Qin II, Qin existed for more than 560 years. During the hundreds of years, Qin people strived to be strong, and in 221 BC, Qin unified the other vassal states(Zhou dynasty carried out the system of enfeoffment and Qin was one of the vassal states)and realized the first unification in China's history, which tied to the tireless efforts of several generations. In Chinese history, Qin state is called as the only country in the pre-Qin period which experienced three times of political development from united city-state to realm to empire; Correspondingly, Qin people built royal cemeteries of united city-states, realms and empires which exactly right reflected the three political evolution. As the final outcomes of the development and evolution of Qin royal cemeteries, What kind of features the mausoleum of the first Qin Emperor has shown? How many royal cemeteries have been found? And how they developed and evolved? What kind of effect the royal cemetery system has on later generations and how does it affects the later generations? Let's join this lecture and find the answers together.
