Yellow River culture is recognized as China's principal culture, mainstream culture and national culture, which takes an important role in both Chinese history and international civilization. Henan province is not only the major source of Yellow River civilization and core area of Yellow River culture, but also where the "earliest China" locates and "the China by the side of the Yellow River".  Central plains' culture and Yellow River culture are closely dependent on and linked with each other, which together constitute the intrinsic basis of China as a civilization country.
