On December 6, 2024, sponsored by the Volunteer Committee of the Chinese Museum Association and hosted by Henan Museum and Ningbo Museum, the "2024 Annual Meeting and Symposium of the Volunteer Committee under the Chinese Museum Association" was held in Henan Museum. More than 200 representatives from 136 member museums from all over China attended the annual meeting.

At the meeting, the work over the past 5 years was reviewed. The succession of the leadership was successfully completed in accordance with the Regulations of the Chinese Museum Association, Administrative Measures for the Volunteer Committee of the Chinese Museum Association, with the ratification of the Chinese Museum Association.

Simultaneously, the thematic symposium “Accurate and Efficient -- Practice and Development of Museum Voluntary Service System” was going on, ten lecturers conducted in-depth sharing and exchanges with attendees over the precision, normalization, convenience and branding of the volunteer services. The 15 new member museums made their debut accordingly. Additionally, Henan Museum also organized the 20th anniversary celebration for the establishment of the volunteer team.
